The daily prayer

The daily prayer

I am enjoying the beautiful morning light as the sun rises and dawn lights the city. Soon we will turn our clocks back an hour, to enjoy more daylight. However; I particularly enjoy the fall evenings, when the sun sets and the moon and stars shine brightly in the heavens. I feel a great sense of peace, calm, and gentleness.…

Open at the top

“Ours is a simple faith.”

In the early 20th century, Ernest Holmes studied the world's religious traditions and synthesized what he found into the Science of Mind: a practical philosophy that must remain “open at the top for greater illumination, unbound and unlimited.”

That means cultivating curiosity, embracing doubt as part of the path, and trusting that new wisdom is always available.

What we believe
  1. There is one power and presence in the world, which we call God.

  2. God is all there is, so we are by nature a part of God, filled with and surrounded by God.

  3. As we become conscious of this truth, we grow in awareness and awaken to our ability.

  4. Spiritual laws govern the universe, and we can use them to influence our lives for good: health, finances, relationships, or simply happiness.

  5. We receive this good to the extent that we are receptive, and we teach ways to expand that receptivity.
